Addictive TV's "Transambient" for Channel 4 was a ground breaking
series featuring specially composed music by various composers.
Transambient
is the 21st century convergence of music and visuals, it presents a startling
new take on the world, looking at it's patterns, rhythms and abstract
beauty.
Geraint Hughes composed 6 pieces for the series, over 60 minutes of music:
DAY TRIP - QUIET - FUZZY LOGIC - BLEEPS - COMA - MISSING TIME.
Using the aliases Zep Tepi and Nada Brahma as well as his own name, these
tracks are available on a double CD from Truelove Ltd.
COMA is one of the most impressive pieces visually, with stunning computer
graphics from Nigel Maudsley and Christos Magganas.
Representing an inner journey literally inside a coma victim, Geraint
Hughes's music is tightly integrated into the visuals, with many specially
crafted sound effects requiring precision timing.
Geraint will work with Nick Clarke the co-producer and director on a future
film for ITV's mixmasters.
COMA along with FUZZY LOGIC is available on DVD along with other Transambient
films through BLACKSTAR in the UK and MOONSHINE in the USA.

SPACED OUT
Geraint contributed 9 pieces of music to this facinating series for the
SciFi channel.
Another great series of visuals from Addictive TV using accessable NASA
footage.
The
directors worked closely with the composers to put a completely new slant
on four decades of filmiing in space. From the early Gemini missions to
the Space Shuttle.
Spaced Out is a compelling fusion of space and music. Each piece is about
3 minutes long and is randomly screened on the SciFi channel in Europe.
It is also available in its entirety on DVD through Blackstar in the UK
and Moonshine Movies in the USA.

The Web Review is Addictive TV's series on ITV that reviews websites.
About to go into it's third series, Geraint Hughes contributed the main
theme, and some the stings.
THE NIGHT SHIFT
Addictive TV's great little show "Night Shift" lasts only 5
minutes, and is now the UK’s longest running interstitial show,
"Night Shift" - presented by Colin Bennett - ventures into the
night to find out just what goes on while the rest of us sleep.
From all night strip joints to milk deliveries and from the police on
call to the army on manoeuvres, Colin and his crew have been there to
get in the way.
Once described (tongue-firmly-in-cheek) by Sky Magazine as ‘clearly
the best thing on TV’ the show now has its own cult following and
fan website.
Geraint Hughes contributed the main theme and the underscores.
